To: Dhalia Benesisto19th of Jun, 2026I miss youNever told youTo my ex

It's been almost ten months since we parted ways, and somehow, the world kept moving even when mine felt like it had stopped. For a long time, I thought I would spend the rest of my life grieving what we could have been. I wasn't expecting the loss of you to unravel me the way it did. I loved you more deeply than I ever realized, and when you left, I carried that pain in ways I'm not proud of—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Looking back, I was simply trying to survive a heartbreak I didn't know how to endure. Time has softened some of the hurt, and while the ache still lingers, I've slowly begun accepting that life moves forward whether we're ready for it or not. If you were to ask me whether I still love you, my answer would still be yes. Not because I refuse to move on, but because I don't know how to unlove someone I once would have risked everything for. It may sound foolish, obsessive, or painfully cliché, but what I felt for you remains one of the most genuine things I've ever known. I know your heart belongs to someone else now, and I've come to accept that, even if the truth hurt more than I can describe. What stung wasn't simply that you found someone new—it was realizing that the person you chose had always been there, quietly occupying a space in your heart while ours was falling apart. Maybe I have no right to question who you love, but the feeling of betrayal is something I've never fully learned to forget. There are still questions I carry with me. We both said things we shouldn't have, and I won't pretend I was blameless. I made mistakes, and I took responsibility for them because you deserved that much. But sometimes I wonder if you've ever truly reflected on the ways you hurt me too. There was a point where losing you pushed me into such darkness that I genuinely thought about ending my life. That's not something I say to make you feel guilty; it's simply the truth. Yet despite all of it, despite the anger, the disappointment, and the scars you left behind, I no longer carry hatred for you. Holding onto resentment became heavier than carrying the heartbreak itself. So now, all I can do is wish you well. I hope you and your partner find the happiness we couldn't give each other. I hope life is gentle with you, and I hope every dream you've ever held close finds its way into your hands. I also want to apologize for the ways I hurt you. We're both human, both imperfect, and both deserving of another chance at becoming better than who we once were. There are still countless things I could say, but some words are better left unsaid, and some feelings are meant to be carried quietly. Before I end this letter, there's one last thing I want you to know: I'm keeping my promise. I know it's irrational, and I know you've probably forgotten it entirely, but a part of me still holds onto it. I've turned away people who were willing to stay because my heart never truly let go of what it wanted. Maybe that makes me a fool, but I've accepted that some forms of love aren't meant to be understood. I'll continue moving forward, pursuing law school and becoming the attorney I've always wanted to be. In some way, the dream of one day helping bring you the justice you deserve became one of the reasons I kept going. So wherever life takes you, I hope it gives you everything you've ever wished for and more. And if our paths ever cross again, I hope we'll meet as two people who survived what once broke them. Until then, take care, my solace. I'll be here, quietly carrying the memory of you. Till next time. FROM THE ONE STILL HOPING THE STARS LEAD YOU BACK.
