I didn't know what to feel. It was shocking to learn that she had to block me on Facebook and Instagram just to find her peace. It's disappointing because a part of me was still hoping that our trio could make things right and that one day we would reconcile. It's heartbreaking to realize that this is where it all ends. It's sad how one ordinary night, when insecurities, pride, and ego took over, ended up ruining a friendship that once meant so much. Maybe this is really where our story ends. But if you ever happen to read this, I hope you know how grateful I am that you became my safe place during the pandemic. During those times when I couldn't even recognize myself anymore, you stayed. During the days when I wanted to leave this world behind, you were one of the reasons I chose to stay because you stayed by my side. I believe that God sends people into our lives for different purposes. Some people are meant to stay, while others come to heal us, teach us lessons, and help us grow. And I am so, so thankful that God brought her into my life. Although she wasn't meant to be permanent, she is one of the reasons why I'm still here today. That's why I will never get tired of telling people that there were two girls who became part of the reason I didn't leave this world. But the saddest thing is that one stayed, and the other was never mine to hold on to.
