Thank you for being honest with me, and thank you for taking the time to read everything I wrote. More than anything, I'm grateful that you answered sincerely. I respect your answer, and I won't try to change it. Feelings are not obligations, and I never confessed expecting you to return them. There’s one thing, though, that I see differently. You mentioned that you've grown up believing that love is conditional and something that has to be earned. Maybe that's where our views diverge. I've always believed that the deepest forms of love are not rewards given to people who have proven themselves worthy enough. To me, love is choosing someone despite their imperfections, not because they have finally earned the right to receive it. Of course, that's only how I see it, and I understand that your experiences have led you to a different place. I’m not trying to argue or change your mind (I write, don’t take this the wrong way), I just wanted to be honest about how I see it too. As for us, nothing changes on my end. I still appreciate you as a person, and I'm glad I got the chance to be honest with you. If anything, I'd rather leave this conversation with gratitude than regret. Thank you for listening, Lili.
